Mika Yoga - Salt Spring Island< The sacred Salt Spring Island in British Columbia Canada, has been Mikaela's birthplace and community for 18 years. The land and the people has inspired her journey into into the arts, spirituality, travel, and alternative living. She was always encouraged to follow the magic, and this she has happily done for 24 years. Her life has been colorfully manifested through her own imagination and passions, which has brought her to the divine path of yoga.

So far she has gone through three different schools of yoga and obtained over 750 hours of training and certifications. Moksana Yoga center in Victoria B.C was her starting point in 2003. The Pyramid Yoga Center in Thailand in 2004 and Heart Center Yoga in Costa Rica, 2006. To support her travels and Yoga training she paints all over the world commissioning herself out as a freelance artist.

These last five years of travel, teaching, painting, and training has brought her to new levels of gratitude and respect for this ancient practice.

Her most recent adventure back to the islands of Thailand and Bali gave her the opportunity to practice and study Yantra and Karma Yoga which has deeply enriched her practice and teaching.

She has taught internationally in New Zealand, Central America, Asia and on the West Coast and interior of B.C. Canada where she lives now. Presently she teaches at Shanti Yoga Center in Nelson B.C.

Mikaelas life reflects in her teaching methods. Her approach is dynamic, fun and creative, returning you back to your inner child and love for Self.

She teaches from the heart to the heart, with full emphasis on self compassion, patience and guidance from your inner teacher. With breath as a tool, she flows through postures which help melt away mental and physical obstacles and insecurities. While dissolving emotional stress and tension, Spirit is free to explore and exist in its divine blissful nature.
